Located on Fakarava atoll in the Tuamotu archipelago in French Polynesia north-east of Tahiti, Fafapiti Lodge is a family-style accommodation that is friendly, warm, comfortable and respectful of its environment.

The Fakarava atoll is a UNESCO World Heritage Biosphere Reserve. The nature there is magnificent and the underwater fauna exceptional.

Valérie and René, the owners, former diving instructors, installed for 25 years in the Tuamotus, are fully in a process of total respect for this environment.

They will welcome you in their 3 comfortable bungalows on the edge of a private beach facing the lagoon in a calm and peaceful location.

The lodge is equipped with a photovoltaic installation and produces its own renewable energy.

Soda and beer bottles are returnable. If you choose to buy your drinks in a store, please prefer returnable bottles to limit waste that is not processed on our atoll.

We use the minimum amount of plastic or aluminum.

Our approach being to produce as little waste as possible, we thank you for not forgetting during your stay that on an atoll in the middle of the Pacific, the treatment of waste is not the same as in Europe or US.

The bungalows are equipped with thermos bottles that you can fill as you wish from the filtered drinkable water fountain.

Please do not leave the lights or the fan on when you leave your room.

For catering, we try as a priority to source our supplies from local fishermen and farmers to limit the carbon footprint.
